Oxazolines has widespread potential application in various fields,such as agrochemicals,medicine,chemical engineering and materials.More recently,oxazolines is widely used in the preparation of curing agent,in order to further explore the excellent characteristics of oxazolines that used in the preparation of curing agent and find the method for the synthesis of oxazolines effectively that suitable for commercial production,based on the analysis of previous research results,we explore the two methods of synthesis of oxazolines and the reaction conditions were optimized:?1?Preparing oxazolines from aldehydeFirstly,with tert butyl alcohol as solvent,reaction of aldehyde with 2-amino alcohol gives open-chain imine,which can exist in equilibrium with oxazolidines,then potassium carbonate as acid binding agent,the overwhelming tendency of hydriodide for reductive elimination from the intermediate will promote the concomitant oxidation of the oxazolidine to yield 2-substituted oxazolines.?2?Preparing oxazolines from carboxylic acid in One-potFirstly,carboxylic acid into another type of very intermediate,which is called an acid chloride,then the intermediate of hydroxyethyl amide were prepared by nucleophilic substitution between the acyl chloride and ethanol amine which could be applied for further reaction directly without purification.In the basic conditions,the synthesis of oxazolines compounds from cyclization of the hydroxyethyl amide precursor in the presence of chlorides.i.Formation of the oxazoline ring from hydroxyethyl amide and SOCl2ii.Formation of the oxazoline ring from hydroxyethyl amide and melamine chloride iii.Formation of the oxazoline ring from hydroxyethyl amide and methanesulfonyl chlorideThe results show that preparing oxazolines from aldehyde or forming oxazoline ring from hydroxyethyl amide with the action of methanesulfonyl chloride are two effective and feasible methods for the synthesis of oxazoline.The reaction conditions were optimized,and the yield was higher.In the end,these compounds were characterized by1H NMR,13C NMR.Furthermore,we study on the synthesis of acyl chloride reaction with melamine and carboxylic acid as reactants,as well as the reaction conditions of formation of the oxazoline ring from hydroxyethyl amide and melamine chloride.
