Combining the respective performance advantages of thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)and silicone rubber,the preparation of TPSIV material with good mechanical properties is the focus of this paper.This dissertation mainly studies the preparation of polyester thermoplastic polyurethane(E270)and polyether thermoplastic polyurethane(M70)and Methyl vinyl silicone rubber compound(VMQ)blends;The mechanical properties,surface energy,aging resistance and viscoelastic behavior of two kinds of thermoplastic polyurethane and methyl vinyl silicone rubber blends blended with different proportions were investigated.In order to improve the compatibility of the two phases of the polymer,two different compatibilizers were added to different blends of thermoplastic polyurethane and methyl vinyl silicone rubber compound: Block-type silicone-containing polyurethane compatibilizer(T-Si),homemade Synthetic Grafted Silicon-propylene Graft Copolymer Compatibilizer(Si-P).The effects of two compatibilizers on the mechanical properties of the two blends were investigated;the tensile fracture morphology of the blends was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM);At the same time,the rheological behavior of thermoplastic polyurethane and methyl vinyl silicone rubber and the blend were investigated,and the influence of different compatibilizer on the rheological behavior of the blends was explored.Research indicates:When the thermoplastic polyurethane and silicone rubber are simply blended in a binary blend,the mechanical properties of the blended material gradually deteriorate as the content of the silicone rubber in the blend increases within a certain range.When the T-Si and Si-P compatibilizers were added to the materials of different thermoplastic polyurethane and silicone rubber blends respectively,the mechanical properties of the two blends were enhanced,when the content of T-Si compatibilizer was added.At 6 phr,the mechanical properties are optimized,and when the Si-P compatibilizer is added at 4 phr,the mechanical properties are optimal.Within a certain range,as the content of compatibilizer in the blend increases,the surface energy of the blend first decreases and then increases,and the contact angle is just opposite to it.SEM shows that silicone-containing polyurethane and silicon-propylenegraft copolymer compatibilizer can make silicone rubber evenly dispersed in two kinds of thermoplastic polyurethanes,and the particle size decreases.In addition,as the content of the compatibilizer increases,the storage modulus of the blended material gradually increases,and the loss modulus and loss factor decrease,indicating that the compatibilizer increases the elastic characteristics of the blended material.Rheological analysis shows that all three polymers exhibit the characteristics of pseudoplastic fluids,and the blended system exhibits the phenomenon of shear thinning and exhibits the characteristics of pseudoplastic fluids.Corresponding to the improvement of mechanical properties,the addition of two kinds of compatibilizers will increase the shear viscosity of the TPU/VMQ blend system.
