H2S was removed by using Selective catalytic oxidation technology which was an effective method. The selective catalytic oxidation technology has become a hot spot about the removal of hydrogen sulfide due to its transformation costs and operating costs was economically feasible. At present, the key to selective catalytic oxidation was to develop one new catalysts with high activity. The honeycomb catalyst has been applied research about H2S selective catalytic oxidation for its advantages, which owed to low pressure, high mass transfer efficiency and high strength. This paper mainly focused on the research about the preparation of the honeycomb vanadium catalyst. The main contents mainly included three parts. The first part was about the preparation of primary coating of SiO2.The second part was about the preparation of secondary coating of TiO2.The third part was about the performance of honeycomb vanadium catalyst on which the selective catalytic oxidation of H2S was studied at low temperature. It was designed to develop a new type of catalyst with high activity and stability at low temperature?180??and promote the development of the catalyst.Firstly,SiO2 coating was prepared by sol-gel method. It was found that the coating reached 6.1%and the shedding rate reached 0.13%,when reaction condition was using nitric acid as catalyst,pH=2,4 h of reaction time and19.56%of solid content. The silica sol which was prepared through the above process conditions was impregnated by continuous way.It was found that the coating had good reproducibility and the viscosity of silica sol was small. The results showed that the stability of silica sol preparation was better.Secondly, the TiO2 coating was prepared by sol-gel method. It was found that the amount of TiO2 coating reached 4.82%and the deduction rate was only 0.22%when the solid content was 18%.After different calcination temperatures, the TiO2 crystal morphology of the coatings were investigated. It was found that the crystal of the TiO2 coating was anatase type when the calcination temperature was at 500?.Titanium sol which was prepared through the above process conditions was impregnated by continuous way.It was found that the coating had good reproducibility. The results showed that the stability of silica sol preparation was better. Finally, active component V2O5 was loaded on cordierite supports which coated with SiO2 and TiO2 by impregnation. It were studied on the selective oxidation of H2S at low temperature. It was found that the catalyst activity was the best when the loading of V2O5 was 20%.It was found that the catalyst had the highest catalytic activity and the yield of sulfur was 95.41%when the reaction temperature was 180?,the space velocity was 3000 h-11 and V?O2?/V?H2S?ratio was up to 0.5.The results showed that the conversion rate of the catalyst for H2S had been maintained at about 96%and the catalyst had high catalytic activity and stability through one stability test of 40 h.
