Rare earth is an important strategic resource and has a very broad market prospect.The Liangshan county is located in Mianning County of the Yi Autonomous Prefecture.Rare earth ore resources are usually accompanied by radioactive minerals such as thorium,uranium and radium.The development of rare earth minerals is equivalent to the development of highly radioactive uranium thorium deposits.Since the 80 s of the last century,with the extensive development of rare earth minerals,radioactive nuclides associated with rare earth minerals have been abandoned,causing radioactive environmental pollution,and increasingly serious,and geological hazards are very large.The problem of mine geological environment is becoming more and more serious.How to prevent the mine radioactive pollution and reduce the occurrence of geological disasters is of great significance to the sustainable development of the mine.It can not only alleviate the social contradictions caused by the mining industry,but also play an active role in social stability and environmental protection.Through the investigation of the radioactive environment in the rare earth mining area and some peripheral areas of Mianning,the comprehensive monitoring and sampling analysis of Mianning rare earth mining area from the ground,air,surface water,ground water,soil,water system and so on to understand the radioactive environmental conditions in this area and determine the extent and degree of radioactive pollution.The distribution characteristics of radioactive nuclide in the mining area and the existing radioactive environmental geological problems provide the basis for radioactive protection,planning and treatment.On the basis of radioactivity investigation,from the perspective of radiation protection,the typical representative slag heap is selected for soil test.Select representative radioactive regions to study soil thickness and shielding gamma radiation,and to inhibit radon exhalation rate.The formula of soil thickness is determined to make the thickness of soil layer reach economic and technological rationality.It not only meets the target of radiation environment,but also meets the requirements of vegetation coverage.Select a representative radioactive pollution area to carry out small scale treatment test,study and determine the different coverage patterns,vegetation restoration and maintenance methods,for the future of the region and similar areas to provide a series of work procedures and management model for the management of the mine geological environment.
