With the development of manufacturing industry in our country,there is a higher reguirement to the manufacturing automation,so it is a very important link to keep a efficiency and quality processing that realize the automatical monitoring to machine automation machine tool processing.Based on the enterprise actual demand in the processing this paper design a tool wear monitoring system.Through the analysis and comparison of the physical signal in the processing,so this paper using the spindle power as signal of monitoring to realize monitoring of cutting tool machining status.Using dynamic comprehensive evaluation method build the characteristic value of weight function for spindle power and a complete monitoring program for tools wear,and based on all research this study realized monitoring of tools wear state.The main work is as follows:(1)Comparing the physical signal in the process of cutting-tool wears,and analyzing the common tool wear forms in parts processing,the spindle power signal is utilized as signal to monitoring tools wear status.On this basis,combined with the actual processing of the enterprise field,spindle power signal is collected and monitored by using the OPC server of the CNC system.(2)For problem,that system separate NC program into smaller in tool wears monitoring system in the process,which results in few dates,NC program be redivision.the synchronization error that is caused by frequency fluctuation between the threshold and the signal generated eliminated,which improve the accuracy in the process of tool wear monitoring.(3)According to the analysis of spindle power signal,no-load power and additional load loss power are eliminated,and the cutting power which have a directly related to tool wear is extracted.Though calculating the characteristic value of cutting power signal about themachine tools,eigenvalues of the signal reflect different characteristics,which can improve the accuracy of the monitoring process.Comprehensive evaluation model of tool wear realized the monitoring of tool wear state by using dynamic comprehensive evaluation method.(4)A software of tool wear monitoring is developed,the overall plan and detailed functional modules of tool wear monitoring software are designed.The workpiece that include various machining features is processe to verify the accuracy of the monitoring system.Based on research above,this paper has a deep study on field of tool wear monitoring though analysis of spindle power,and improves the accuracy of tool wear monitoring.At the sametime,the tool wear monitoring is developed and designed,and improve the degree of automation and safety of production in process.
