The Western pastoral area is the largest grassland area in China.In recent years,the ecologicall environment of the Western Pastoral Area has been tested as an unprecedented challenge due to the influence of human activities and climate change.In order to find out what has affected the ecological environment in the Western Pastoral Area,based on the existing theories and data,the meteorological conditions and soil conditions in the Western pastoral area were analyzed.Based on the PSR model and the two-element structure theory of "natural resources and human activities",the evaluation index system of pastoral area's eco-environment is put forward.Based on this,a database system for monitoring the ecological environment in pastoral areas of Western China was constructed.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Sunan County is dry and lacking of rainy all the year round,and its dryness is less than 10.It needs forced irrigation to meet the growth of pasture.The dryness of Ulan county and Otog Banner is 10-30,and the regional water volume basically meets the growth of grass.Through the C/S analysis,the trend of the future change of the temperature in three regions is increased.Annual rainfall is increasing in the future at Otog Banncr and Ulan county,while the rainfall in Sunan County is decreasing in the future.The annual average potential evapotranspiration in Otog banner and Sunan County is decreasing in the future,while Ulan county is increasing in the future.Otog Banner's dryness future trend is increasing,Sunan County and Ulan county's dryness is dcrease in the future.(2)Most of the soil quality in Etuoke Banner is 0.7-0.8 in 0-20cm and 20-40cm.The vast majority of soil quality is poor.The soil quality of Sunan County is belonging to middle level.And Ulan county's soil quality belongs to good level.(3)Based on the PSR model and the two-element structure theory of "natural resources and human activities",the evaluation index system of pastoral area's eco-environment is put forward.(4)From user perspective,we established the requirement analysis of basic database.According to the principle of system development,the overall structure,function and database design of database system are detailed design.Finally,a data sharing platform for web is built.The main functions are user login,basic data query and spatio-temporal change analysis.
