Chapter ?In part one,the Catellani reaction has been widely concerned by scientists as a method to realize the functionalization of the ortho C-H bonds of aryl halides in organic chemistry.The traditional Catellani reaction involves the one-pot reaction of iodoarenes,alkyl iodides and terminal olefins in the presence of a Pd species and norbornene as the catalyst to afford ortho-disubstituted vinylarenes.In this chapter,we summarize the development of Catellani reactions in past few years.In part two,The functionalization of polyfluoroarenes plays an important role in synthetic organic chemistry on account of its increasing application in the synthesis of complex biologically active natural products,pharmaceuticals as well as active materials.In this chapter,we briefly introduce the different functionalizations of polyfluoroarenes.Chapter ?The dearomatization of arenes has a wide range of applications in the synthesis of complex biologically active natural products and pharmaceuticals.In many molecular structures,spiro compounds are also special structural units.We have successfully gained a serious of spirocyclic indolenine der ivatives by using aryl halides and alkyl indoles as the reactants This strategy for the first time achieved the combination of the Catellani reaction and the dearylation reaction.Chapter ?Among all of the transformations involved the types of terminal reagents used in the Catellani reactions are mainly olef ins,alkynes,electron-rich arenes and nucleophilic reagents.Under a cooperative palladium/copper catalysis,We utilize Electron-deficient polyfluoroarenes as the terminal reagents going through ortho-alkylat ion/ispo-polyfluoroarylation to afford a series of polyfluoroarene-substituted benzofuran derivatives.
