In recent years,fluorescent carbon quantum dots have been receiving increasing attention due to their tunable surface functionalities,outstanding optical properties,chemical stability,biocompatibility,and low toxicity,and have been widely used in photonics,biotechnology,chemical and biological sensing,and solar energy.These materials primarily include carbon dots,nanodiamonds,carbon nanotubes,fullerene,and fluorescent graphene quantum dot.The superior properties of fluorescent carbon-based materials distinguish them from traditional fluorescent materials,and make them promising candidates for numerous exciting applications,such as medical diagnosis,catalysis,and photovoltaic devices.Carbon quantum dots are zero-dimensional quasi-spherical carbon nano-materials,the simple preparation,light stability,non-toxic make it suitable for industrial preparation and application,and don't need to worry about the secondary pollution.In addition,carbon quantum dots also show excellent application in biological imaging and cell labeling due to their good biocompatibility.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:Firstly,we modify the carbon quantum dots by doping N and S atoms to make it show the specific detection of different heavy metal ions.More interestingly,with a significative breakthrough in the traditional detection method by photoluminescence?PL?,the as-prepared NS-CDs exhibits ultrasensitive colorimetric sensing capability for both lead and copper ions.Secondly,the carbon quantum dots prepared by solid phase heating method is compound with titanium dioxide?TiO2?,the results show that composite significantly improved the property of the TiO2 in the photocatalysis of rhodamine.Finally,the graphene quantum dots prepared by heated stirring were cultured with He La cells,and their fluorescence labeling performance,biological imaging and survival rate were tested.Through the modification of carbon quantum dots by different preparation conditions and doping atoms,some valuable research results have been obtained.
