Catalysts play an important role in the fields of pharmaceuticals,petrochemicals,and environmental protection.According to statistics,more than 90% of industrial production processes require catalysts.With the rapid development of nano-science and technology,nano-materials science has been applied in various research fields,among which the most prominent is the preparation of nano-catalysts.Due to its unique surface chemical structure,nitrogen-doped porous carbon materials can improve the activity and stability of the catalyst when used as a catalyst supporter.Nitrogen-doped porous carbon materials have attracted more and more attention as catalyst supporter,but they still face many challenges.For this reason,the present research has explored a catalyst that using a simple one-pot high-temperature pyrolysis for directly preparation of nitrogen-doped porous carbon material-loaded transition metal nanoparticles using inexpensive raw materials.By changing the precursor of the metal salt,different transition metal nanoparticles are respectively prepared to be loaded onto the nitrogen-doped carbon material supporter.The characterization of the catalysts indicates that the prepared catalysts have large specific surface areas and large porous structures,which can promote the adsorption and mass transfer process during the catalytic reaction.Due to the presence of nitrogen in the carbon material,the transition metal nanoparticles are uniformly dispersed on the surface of the supporter and have very uniform particle size.Therefore,a great use of the catalytically active components in the catalyst increases the activity of the catalyst.Different hydrogen sources were used as reducing agents to catalyze the selective hydrogenation of aromatic nitro compounds.The catalytic performance of a series of catalysts prepared for the model reaction was tested.The results showed that nitrogen-doped carbon materials were used as supporter.The supported catalyst shows higher catalytic activity than the conventional carbon material-supported catalyst,and also shows more excellent stability.
