Plasmonic nanomaterials play an important role in optical sensing technologies such as metamaterials, supersurfaces, solar cells, plasma heating, and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and localized surface plasmon resonance sensing. As a composition of plasmonic nanomaterials, ordinary pure metals such as Ag,Au,or Cu can only cover a limited range of light wavelengths due to their inherent optical response.Due to its unique physical and chemical properties, composite nanomaterials composed of various metals have always been a research hotspot in the field of materials. These nanocomposites have potential and wide application prospects in various scientific and commercial fields. In this dissertation,silver-titanium composite nanostructures were fabricated by the oblique angle co-deposition technique. The structure was characterized by the measurements of morphology, composition and crystal structure. The optical properties of the structure were demonstrated by the simulation and measurement of the transmission. The details are as follows:(1)The Ag-Ti composite nanorod structure was prepared and characterized.Ag-Ti composite nanorod structure with seven different Ag compositions of Ag100,Ag90,Ag80,Ag60,Ag40,Ag20,and Ag0 were prepared at different deposition angles of 87.5°,85°,82.5°,80°,77.5°,and 75° using the oblique angle co-deposition technique. The SEM morphology analysis results show that the content of Ag component and the deposition angle will have different effects on the width, diameter, height and tilt angle of nanorods.XRD crystal structure analysis show that the prepared silver-titanium alloy can be regarded as a mixture of two metals.(2)The light transmission properties of the Ag-Ti composite nanorod structure were studied.Experimentally, the transmissions of composite nanorod structures with different silver-titanium doping ratios and different deposition angles under different polarized light effects were measured. The results show that the transmissions of these composite nanorod structures is modulated by the polarization direction of the external light field. This tunable property has potential applications in the field of optoelectronics. In particular, for the Ag80 composite nanorod structure, there is an oscillation wavelength that is independent of the polarization of the optical field, for the oscillation wavelength is determined by the nanorod geometry. When the deposition angle is 87.5°,the transmission spectra of Ag80 composite nanorods are all greater than 90%,while the transmission angle of 75° deposition angle is less than 20%.With this property, high and low transmission lenses can be designed.
