K-type eccentrically braced frame composite with high-strength steel is aaseismatic structure system with good seismic performance and higher economicefficiency. It is one of the main structure systems used in high-rise buildings in highintensity seismic regions. Finite element analysis of seismic performance was studiedon k-type eccentrically braced frame structure with diffferent steel composition anddifferent length of link. And relevant design suggestions were given.A number of k-type eccentrically braced frames with diffferent steel compositionand different length of link were designed using the ETABS as the prototype structuresfor finite element analysis. Then, nonlinear finite element models using solid elementsand beam elements were established in ABAQUS. Material constitutive model was adual linear servo intensive model considering bauschinger effect. And the validity ofthe finite element model was verified by the comparison of finite element analysis andexperimental result. On this basis, three appropriate seismic waves were chosen toconducted the time history analysis with eight kinds of condition from level7frequentto level9rare earthquakes on these models. The displacement response, distribution ofshearing force, internal force response and stress distribution of the structure wereanalysed. Dynamic elastic-plastic analysis on behaviors of k-type eccentricallybraced frame structure with different strength steel combination and different length oflink was conducted.Finally, the following conclusions were obtained: k-type eccentrically braced framescomposite with high-strength steel can play a role of energy consumption, although its seismic performance was slightly lower than that of the ordinary eccentrically bracedframe structure under the same design conditions; considering the seismic performanceand economy requirements, the k-type eccentrically braced frame combined with Q460and Q345steel is suitable for using; the seismic performance of k-type eccentricallybraced frames composite with high-strength steel with shear links was better than thatof the frames with flexural links; The seismic performance of k-type eccentricallybraced frames composite with high-strength steel is good when the length of link istaken within the scope of (1.0-1.6).
