With the gradual development of society, architectures often service for decades, exciting large and complex engineering structures even servicing more than a century, such as high-rise buildings, large hydraulic project, large spatial structures, etc. Their security provides strong protection for economic and social environments. However, external factors and internal factors often lead to accumulation of structural damage and decay of structures resistance. Therefore, it likely to lead to catastrophic incidents in extreme cases, causing casualties and loss of property. The internal damages of structure are generally not visible. In order to determine the health of the structure and to ensure the normal use of the structure, we must recognize the structural damage, determine the location of structural damage and even the extent of damage. It can provide a scientific basis for the later safe use of the structures.The article studies the damage condition of structure based on the improved curvature method and date fusion, and put forward a more accurate identification method to identify the structure. The main contents include:(1)For existing curvature method is not able to identify the damage of beginning and end cells of structure, the article put forward the improved curvature method. The result of numerical simulation for different damage cases of simply supported beam structure and shear frame structures show that the improved curvature method can accurately identify the damage of beginning and end cells.(2)This paper studies the sensitivity of the static displacement difference curvature, mode shape curvature difference, modal flexibility difference curvature, and data fusion of the three structural damage index for the damage identification of simply supported beam and frame structures.Simulation results show that the static displacement difference curvature, mode shape curvature difference, modal flexibility difference curvature, and data fusion can effectively identify structures.And data fusion has a better sensitivity.(3)When using the static displacement difference curvature, mode shape curvature difference, and modal flexibility difference curvature to identify the structural damage,the curvatures of two adjacent cells of damaged cell are prominent.lt can cause misjudgment of structural damage.(4)When using the static displacement difference curvature to identify the damage of simply supported beam and layer shear frame structure, it is able to effectively identify the damage location in a single injury, double damage and more damage condition. (5)Date fusion of the static displacement difference curvature, mode shape curvature difference and modal flexibility difference curvature can make the curvature of damage cell prominent, reduce the interference of undamaged cells.(6)Under the improvement curvature method and data fusion method, the paper uses curve fitting method to identify the damage degree of simply support beam and frame structure. The results show that the cubic curve of improved curvature method and data fusion can more accurately identify the structure damage degree.
