In the building, water conservancy, highway, railway, and defense engineering of the central mountainous area, it's often needed to set foundation near the slope or excavate foundation pit near the existing foundation. In addition, when designing the bridge acrossing the valley, it's alse needed to set the pier and abutment in the slope or near the slope top, and the building near the entrance or exit of subway or the foundation of the irrigation are alse needed to consider the influence of the its nearby slope. In the actual project, when encountering the problem of the bearing capacity of foundation, it's often to use deep foundation to avoid, or convert to the level ground bearing capacity problems, or use engineering experience to reduce the bearing capacity of foundation. However, these methods are lack of the comprehensive theoretical basis. If the result is conservative, it will cause some resource waste; if the safety margin is too low, it will cause a potential risk. Therefore, the bearing capacity of foundation near the slope is an urgent need to address. In contrast with the Single symmetrical failure mode on level ground, foundation soil near the slope present a variety of failure mode in different working conditions. This paper is based on the upper bound finite element method, modeling for the soil of slope, getting the nonlinear upper programming model, using feasible arc interior point algorithm to solve it, converting the calculation results into the corresponding velocity field and the energy dissipation and the bearing capacity of slope into Tergaghi partial coefficient and discussing the change rule of Nc?N??Nq, comparing the calculated results with the literature analysis and the influence of the earthquake based on quasi-static method to the slope stability and the bearing capacity of foundation The results show that using the upper bound finite element method can clearly simulate the slope failure mode and get a reasonable solution. finding that the change rule of Nc and Nq is in line with the existing monotonous change rule. For the N?, due to the change of volume of failure body for the variety of failure mode, getting the monotonous change rule of N?, and the earthquake will reduce the stability of the slope and the bearing capacity of the foundation. The paper make the distance a0/B of slope completely unaffected as a safe distance, giving the part of the calculation chart to provide the reference for slope foundation design.
