Brake is an important component of a motor vehicle, and the merit of its quality is related to the vehicle driving safety. At present hydraulic disc brake used in motorcycles widely. In order to ensure acceptable performance and reliable operation of the brake, it is necessary to test the performance of it in the factory. This paper accordance industry standards and the company's of actual requirements and testing standards for product testing, designed a test bench of motorcycles braking performance on the pump. The bench use of automated control system, can be used in the production line to measuring sealing property, lighting stroke and span stroke of motorcycles brake pump, in order to detect hidden defects in products and make improvements.This paper mainly completed the following work: firstly, studies the performance and testing principles of motorcycles disc brakes, and learned about testing technical parameters and accuracy requirements of the brake, so that preliminary planning the bench features and test projects. Since the test bench has more items to be tested, so the use of modular in design, corresponding performance are deployed in different bench, the vacuum sealability and the lighting stroke are put in a station, the cylinder block sealability and the span stroke are put in another station. Secondly, according to the test program, using relevant mechanical principles, designed the mechanical structure of the bench. It was designed and drawn test mechanism for each test items, such as handle fixtures, pressure testing device and span detection device. Layout and installation pneumatic line, proximity switches and sensors of the test bench. Thirdly, combined with test requirements, development and design automatic control system of test bench, control system used S7-200 PLC as the next crew, with relevant equipment to complete the hardware development, such as stepper motors, sensors and other devices, using the programming software to development automation test control program of test bed, choose MCGS touch screen as position machine, realized visual monitoring of the test process and results. Finally, after set up the test bench, According to the test program to test the performance of the product, and the test data were compared with the evaluation index, proved the accuracy and reliability of the gantry.This paper completed the development of the performance online test station of hydraulic disc brake, the test bench has good performance, operation is simple and convenient, test data is precision and clarity. It can automatically determine and prompt whether product test result is qualified, fully meet the enterprise's needs of online testing, it provides reliable data for a new product's research and development, has a strong practical value.
