Currently, there is a growing emphasis on healthy life habits and their own health in society and more and more people hope to buy a variety of portable ECG monitoring equipments, such as portable ECG monitor, smart bracelet of measuring heart rate and so on, to protect their health. However, the traditional ECG monitoring equipment is not only bulky, complex and expensive, but also not suitable for long time dynamic measurement.Although the portable ECG monitor has acquisition, display, storage, long time dynamic measurement and other function, it can not automatically analyze the ECG in real time and is not easy to carry and measure anywhere. Due to the restriction of display, the currently popular smart wearable device can only display the heart rate, and not display the ECG waveform, especially cardiac arrhythmia waveform. According to the background, we designed the portable ECG monitor based on Android system, including ECG electrodes,the front-end signal processing circuit, the signal sampling circuit, the wreless Bluethooth transmission circuit and the ECG application based on Android system.The ECG signal was collected by electrodes and amplified and filtered by the front-end signal processing circuit. In oder to facilitate the further processing of microcontroller, the signal was sampled into digital signal by the signal sampling circuit. After processed, the digital signal was transferred to the Android smartphone. When the digital signal was received, the ECG application would preprocess the signal to eliminate power frequency and baseline drift. The waveform of the preprocessed signal was displayed and saved in the memory of the Android smartphone. In addition, the futher analysis of the preprocessed signal, such as QRS complex detection, feature extraction and waveform classification, was completed in our work. The principal component analysis(PCA) was applied to reduce the dimension of the extracted feature. In our study, the support vector machine(SVM) was proposed to classify the waveforms.The portable ECG monitor based on Android system can not only realize the long time dynamic measurement of the ECG signal and save the ECG waveform in the memory, but also automatically analyze the waveform of ECG to distinguish between normal waveform and abnormal waveform to lighten the workload of doctors. The instrument was portable,low-power and intelligent, having a greatly practical significant for the long time dynamic monitoring of ECG.
