Multi-blade centrifugal fan has been widely used for air-conditional system because of its small size, high pressure coefficient, high flow coefficient and many other advantages, and its efficiency and noise related to people's livelihood. So how to improve fan efficiency and reduce noise is very important issue. Impeller is the core component of multi-blade centrifugal fan, dominion the performance of fan.This article taken a combination of CFD numerical simulation and experimental study, in order to analysis the impact of the number of blades, blade-type line and blades' distribution method on the performance and noise of a multiblade centrifugal fan in air-conditioner.Based on results of steady canculation,Large Eddy Simulation is used in unsteady canculation. The noise of Multiblade centrifugal fan is simulated in Virtual.Lab and the impact of Numbers of blades,blade-type line on the noise of Multiblade centrifugal fan is also been analyzed.The number of blades 48,45,40 films were selected to study the multi-blade centrifugal fan performance trends. The results showed that multi-blade centrifugal fan with the number of 48 films, had the best performance. And through the inner CFD flow analysis, interpretation of the internal mechanism of the number of leaves that affect performance.When the number of blades is determined as 48 films, analysis the equidistant and unequal spacing distribution of leaves, the performance and noise trends of multi-blade centrifugal fan. The results show that the performance of both relatively close, but the noise of unequally spaced impeller is lower than equidistant impeller.Blade profile retrofit design, analysis the leaf-shaped line effects on multi-blade centrifugal fan of performance and noise. The results showed that the leaf through multi-blade centrifugal fan performance redesign after a big improvement. Total pressure maximum lift of 3.6%, 4.3% maximum lifting efficiency, noise is also reduced.
