Due to the rapid development of our country's economy, energy and environment become our major issues. On the one hand, we should face the reality of energy shortage, on the other hand we have to deal with environmental problems, so the governments of differents countries provides a variety of policy support to new energy technology research and application. Solar assisted geothermal heat pumps system combines solar energy technology with ground source heat pump.due to having the adwantages of solar energy and ground source heat pump, it could make up for their disadvantages at the same time.Solar assisted geothermal heat pumps systemgets strong support from the governments, and many researchersdo many works on it.In this paper, DeST software is used to calculate the hourly load of the office building in wuhan and we design a solar assisted geothermal heat pumps system for the office building. Finally, using TRNSYS software we built the operation mode models of eothermal heat pumps system and solar assisted geothermal heat pumps system, thencalculate the power consumption of heat pump and the source-load side variable frequency pump of different operation modes.we choose the bestoperating mode by comparing the total power consumption. According to the results of circulating, using solar assisted geothermal heat pumps system can save some energy which compares with geothermal heat pumps system in this office building, andthe operating mode which fluid exchanges heat with ground source heat pump subsystem and then exchanges heat with solar subsystem costs the minimum power consumption through the year, and we consider it as the optimal operation mode at saving energy.
