Vibartion screen is the most widely used screening facility in the industry. The development and innovation of vibration screen come from the breakthrough of the screening mechanism. Traditional screening mechanism doesn’t include the details of screening. So, we use EDEM software based on Discrete Element Method(DEM)to establish three-dimensional model of new type of vibration screen by computer.Then, research the screening rules of process of vibration screen through statistical analysis method research. The main contents as follows.1. We establish a three-dimensional model of the new type of vibration screen based on composite of swing and translation and use EDEM software to simulate the process of screening firstly. Experiments of single factor are designed to research the relationships between screening parameters(vibration parameters, structure parameters) and screening efficiency. After that, we can find the optimal vibration parameters and structure parameters to screening efficiency of vibration screen. We also compare the screening efficiency of the traditional vibration screen and the new type of vibration screen based on screening efficiency.2. Research the relationship between loose of particles and screening parameters.We use loose coefficient and loose velocity as the characteristic quantities of the process of loose. And design experiment to test the rationality of characteristic quantities. Find the relationships between loosen and screening parameters(vibration parameters, structure parameters), and establish the model between screening velocity and screening parameters based on screening coefficient.3. Optimization of screening parameters: In order to find the signifigance of screening parameters effecting screening efficiency, design the orthogonal test of vibration parameters and structure parameters. In the end, obtain combination of the parameters.
