In the long-term operation of transformer, some trace gases in transformer oil could cause the equipment breakdown, and the content of these trace gases can reflect the power transformer fault types; This paper mainly analyzes the content of acetylene gas (C2H2) and then further determine whether there is partial discharge or arc occurred in transformer; It is of great significance to make power transformer running steady. The study of the content of acetylene gas adopts photoacoustic spectroscopy, compared with the traditional detection techniques, photoacoustic spectroscopy has many advantages, which could conveniently measure the concentration of gases. This paper firstly introduces the principle of photoacoustic signal, and then analyzes the amplitude of the photoacoustic signal obtained in the cylindrical photoacoustic pool; Aiming at dissolved acetylene gas in transformer oil and set up a testing device for its content, and analyzed the noise produced by the device; According to some related queries,we get the characteristic absorption lines of acetylene gas, and on this basis, we can control the injection current and the working temperature to control laser and get the appropriate radiation wavelengths, we could also determine the actual parameters of photoacoustic pool; Secondly, because of the photoacoustic signal can be affected by many factors, In this paper, we studied the respective single factor's influence on the gas photoacoustic signal through the experiment and test the performance of the experiment device; Lastly, a novel method of photoacoustic quantitative analysis is proposed on the basis of least square regression, the effectiveness of this method is proved by comparing with gas chromatography analysis results.
