In order to solve the problem of serious pollution of fossil fuels, countries are in the positive development and utilization of clean energy, tidal current energy for its clean, widely, with regularity by more and more attention and corresponding utilization of tidal energy power generation technology is becoming increasingly important. At present, the application of intermediate transmission device of horizontal axis and vertical axis tidal power generation device is the most studied in the tidal power generation device, but the intermediate transmission device makes the system complicated, easy fault and also motor running in the water makes maintenance cost greatly increased. In order to solve the problem of the intermediate transmission device,this paper presents a new type of power generation device with hydraulic turbine inside and large size direct coupling, hollow generator with hollow structure based on the horizontal axis power generation device. As a core part of the hollow power generation device of generator is the main research object.Firstly this paper introduces the types of intermediate transmission status,power generation equipment and research of domestic and international trends in the existing power generation device and the main problems. And describes the permanent magnet synchronous generator circuit structure, working principle and research status. The permanent magnet synchronous generator with different winding structure were analyzed, the final selection of the large size of the fractional slot structure of permanent magnet synchronous generator as the design object. After determining the power of generator, diameter and other parameters of turbine generator coupled with the motor, determine the structureof stator and rotor, the generator pole slot ratio, by using equivalent magnetic circuit of the generator with different magnetic circuit design for motor pole slot ratio will be calculated, several different 10 k W pole slot ratio of low speed permanent magnet synchronous generator using software Ansoft Maxwell V16 for finite element verification, determine whether the performance parameters of the generator and waveform curve meet the design requirements of the motor,and compared with several generators, finally choose the optimal generator pole slot of winding ratio optimization, the design of low speed permanent magnet synchronous generator is feasible.
