| Pulsating heat pipe is a new type of heat pipe. It has the advantages of small size, heat transfer large, low cost, low electricity consumption and so on. It is widely used in microelectronics cooling and building heat recovery and so on. The operation of pulsating heat pipe is mainly caused by the imbalance of pressure in the pipeline. The start-up and operation of pulsating heat pipe are influenced by the filling rate, the dip angle, the heating power and the working fluid.Surface tension is one of the important factors that influence the behaviors of the working fluid bubbles, such as generation, pulsation split and merge. Furtherly, the heat transfer performance of pulsating heat pipe(PHP) is affected. Based on the existing research on pulsating heat pipe, this paper firstly analyzes the impact of surface tension and viscosity of the refrigerant in the pulsating heat pipe operation. Preparation of three kinds of anionic surfactant aqueous solution. And it is used as a pulsating heat pipe working fluid. It was found that The surface tension of SDBS aqueous solution and SDS aqueous solution decreased with the increase of concentration. The surface tension of PAM aqueous solution does not change with the concentration change. The viscosity of the aqueous solution of the three surfactants increased in different degrees with the increase of concentration. The density, thermal conductivity and specific heat of the three working fluids have no change. The effects of different concentration, different heating power, filling ratio and inclination angle on the start-up and heat transfer performance of pulsating heat pipe were tested on self-designed equipment. The experimental results indicated that surfactant can reduce the start-up time of pulsating heat pipe. SDBS water solution pulsating heat pipe start time is the shortest, 108 s.Heat resistance of pulsating heat pipe of SDBS water solution is minimum. The start time of pulsating heat pipe of PAM water solution was the longest, which was 123 s. Heat resistance of pulsating heat pipe of PAM water solution is maximum. The start-up time of the pulsating heat pipe of SDS water solution is between PAM aqueous solution and SDBS aqueous solution. The running resistance of the pulsating heat pipe of SDS water solution is between PAM aqueous solution and SDBS aqueous solution. |
