Along with the increasing frequency of human space activities, the quantity of space debris is ever increasing. Micro debris has become the one of threatening factor for the service life and reliability of the orbiting space vehicle.In this article, based on the predominance which the impact damage is relative to the corresponding debris particle in the ground simulation of laser driven flyer.The hypervelocity impact effect on surface morphology and optical properties was measured by optical microscope, zoom-stereo microscope and scanning electron microscope.The study analyzed the impact debris the parameters and damage characteristics and mechanism of the optical materials.Reference the same period spherical projectiles and hypervelocity collision dynamics to establish multi-characteristic parameters impact equation based on laser driven flake particles combined with existing impact damage equation ultimately.It improve the repeatability and effectiveness of ground simulation experiments.In this paper, the selection of quartz glass as the optical glass used for the test.The flyer target is made of different preparation method. Laser driven metallic thin films with different preparation method to determine the optimum is suitable for laser driven flyer technology on flyer target.According to existed debris velocity to analyses different velocity of flyer and the damage morphology of optical glass..The result reveals, on the basis of melting mechanism of interaction between space debrisand material, different rules of damage will occur when flyer in different velocity impact on the optical glass. Meanwhile,the influence of boundary geometry factor on the high speed impact damage morphology on quartz glass was studied by changing the aspect ratio of flyer particles.At last, based on the investigation on particle boundary geometry factors, the impact equation of ground simulation for laser driven flyer technology was established, the reproducibility and validity of ground simulation test were improved. And it could be compared with impact effects from other ground simulation technology.
