With the development of building technology and need of practical engineering, architectural structures tend to work under complex environments more and more often, such as blast-resistant structures, foundation in seismic areas and high-speed rail roadbed sleeper. Such environment requires good dynamic performance of construction materials. However, there is no national standard on the impact test in China, the research about what law the impact life of basalt fiber obeys is also rare.Two kinds of basalt fiber with different lengths(6mm, 18mm) whose diameter is 15μm are used to make concrete with different fiber content(volume fraction is 0,0.4%,0.6%,0.8). U-shaped specimen and impact hammer device is used to measure impact life of concrete to study the influence of changes of lengths and amount of basalt fiber on compressive strength, flexural strength and impact properties of concrete, and to find out what mathematical model the impact life of basalt fiber reinforced concrete meets.The results show that adding basalt fiber can improve compressive strength, flexural strength and impact performance all in different degrees, particularly impact performance. As fiber content increases, the strength gradually increases; in addition, the fiber of 6mm has more obvious effect on increasing concrete strength than the fiber of 18 mm. The most important is impact life of basalt fiber reinforced concrete accords with two-parameter Weibull distribution well, that is two-parameter Weibull distribution can describe the impact life of basalt fiber reinforced concrete well.The test may provide an experimental basis for the specification of the domestic impact test. And since basalt fiber is very the economic, basalt fiber reinforced concrete can be widely applied in practical projects to improve the impact performance of the structure. In addition, combine the impact life of concrete with a mathematical model can provide a mathematical foundation for concrete research.
