The causes of land subsidence mainly two aspects: geological environment and human activities. The human factor is dominant. In addition to the neotectonic activities such as geological stress caused by ground subsidence, ground caused by uneven settlement of the main internal cause is the difference and its physical and mechanical properties of soft soil, and improper distribution of additional stress,foundation treatment, factors such as the change of underground water level is caused by the ground appears the external cause of uneven settlement. Uneven settlement of soft soil foundation in collapsed buildings superstructure cracking, tilt, and the distortion, the road pavement not only bring huge economic loss, even endanger the life safety of the people. Find out the distribution and engineering characteristics of soft soil, build space three-dimensional structure model, to predict the final settlement,in order to take reasonable and effective measures, to prevent the happening of this kind of geological disaster, can fundamentally coordination and alleviate the urban land resources development, the contradiction between the carrier of underground space exploitation and geological environment, make it to the benign direction, can provide basic for urban construction and development, and scientific aspects of the origin of support and services.The focus of this article is mainly focused on the soft soil areas: Soft soil with "three low & three high" characteristics of high water content, high void ratio, high compressibility, low strength, low permeability, low coefficient, often will have a larger settlement as the project site, so usually a foundation treatment program need to be proceed before construction. The study of practical technology using geotechnical engineering principle in engineering construction, settlement calculation and foundation treatment technology of soft soil foundation is very important. This thesis discuses and analyzes various current theories according to monitoring date, a perfect method to calculate settlement and changes rules of soft soil was proposed.Meanwhile, soft soil foundation instability elements were summarized, screening out the processing method that can reduce the construction cost and improve the efficiency of construction, so then providing theoretical basis for foundation treatment research. The main research work is as follows:The first chapter is introduction. Through data collection and conclusion, the paper expounds the research background and significance of this article, the research status at home and abroad and the research contents and train of thought.Chapter ii of the engineering properties of soft soil and soft foundation settlement mechanism, analysis of engineering properties of soft soil, the mechanism of settlement of soft soil foundation, and highway soft foundation settlement monitoring points.The third chapter of soft soil foundation settlement prediction method study,respectively according to empirical formula method, Asaoka method, gray model prediction method and neural network prediction method is introduced; provide certain theoretical support for the back of the engineering example.The fourth chapter is the project instance analysis and comparative study,combined with the project of Yantai-Weihai highway, soft soil foundation settlement prediction in Yantai area were analyzed, and the first selected sub grade section, and frequency of the observation and leveling point set. Second analysis of soft soil roadbed settlement forecast method, and finally test analysis, the results of the analysis of subsidence prediction and the analysis of foundation settlement influence factors.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and suggestion. On the basis of above analysis theory and practice, and puts forward relevant Suggestions and countermeasures.
