The near-surface mounted(NSM)strengthening is new strengthening technology. The concrete cover is cut,the FRP reinforcement is put into the slot and the resin is put into the slot.Compared with the traditional strengthening method,NSM technology is simple construction,corrosion-resistant,strong bond with the advantages of the original structure. This is a kind of new promotional value of strengthening technology. In this paper, finite element model of two reinforced concrete beams and eight CFRP strengthening concrete beams with Abaqus is presented. The bending performance of beams is simulated with the finite element method. The simulation results of three beams are compared with the experimental data.Indicating the accuracy of the FEM model. The amount of CFRP material remain unchanged, with CFRP embedded length, slotted mode as the test parameters. The failure modes, bearing capacity, deflection, strain of steel and CFRP are analysised.Simulation results show that the flexural behavior of concrete beams strengthened with NSM FRP reinforcement can be analyzed with FEM model. The ultimate bearing capacity and stiffness of the strengthening beams increase. The embedding length of CFRP strip can change failure mode.In the original member damage is small,multi-solt multi-plate strengthening is better than single-slot,the bearing capacity increase.
