As the nodes and hub of highways road network,highway intersection could pass road traffic flow and plays a very important role in the network.Two-lane highways in mountain area of our country account for a large proportion of the road network,Two-lane highways intersection in mountain area severely affected terrain,so the intersection design is limited.The phenomenon of the small crossing angle intersection and branch access slope larger is obvious,and even some intersections can not meet the design standards,easily create an imbalance of dynamic traffic system which includes people,vehicles,roads and environment.For this,the driver's recognition of the intersection is reduced,the drivers are easier to make wrong judgments and operational behavior.Study adopted system analysis on influencing factors of driver's visual characteristics in two-lane highways intersection in mountain area,which was on the basis of physical and psychological dynamic visual theory,combined with relevant research results,discussed and analyzed the basic form of driver visual behavior and characterization parameters.It also used the real vehicle test to analysis on the visual characteristics and evaluate the recognition of intersection.Firstly,the research used analysis and statistics of the factors which affect the two-lane highways intersection safety,which included the geometry of the intersection,the traffic intersection characteristics,safety equipment and so on,the research adopted the principal component analysis and expert scoring method,ultimately determined that it used the crossing angle,longitudinal difference of each branch and the species of signs marking as a major factor affecting the intersection of recognition.Then,the paper selected two typical two-lane highway in mountain area as a research object,and it used Sweden Smart Eye Pro5.7 Non-invasive eye test instrument for the actual vehicle test of the intersection,in order to gather the driver's gaze acquisition,panning and pupil diameter and other parameters of visual representation.Study analyzed on the driver's visual characteristics influence law of different types of intersections,and examined their distribution and significant case.At last,on the basis of the driver's visual characteristic analysis,Fuzzy Theory was proposed for the recognition of intersection's evaluation.Through the standardization process of driver's eye movement parameters for different intersections,A Fuzzy Clustering Model based on visual characteristics of the driver was established.The visual recognition of intersection was divided into four categories which includes excellent,good,fair,and poor.And optimized the intersection,the optimization measures for improvement suggestions was proposed.Study adopted analysis and evaluation on cognitive of two-lane highway intersection in mountain area,and taking appropriate measures to improve the driver's recognition of different intersection types.The paper lays the theoretical basis of improving the highway intersections traffic efficiency in mountain are and throughout the road network,and putted forward practical method.
