The stability of high slope under earthquake has been one of the important research directions in earthquake engineering and geotechnical engineering.The high slope stability problem becomes more and more complicated,due to the nature of the structure of the rock and soil itself,the influence of the environment,and the complicated multi-variability of the seismic load.This paper was conducted seismic analysis which was based on the engineering background of the Dahua Road high slope of Yuzhong District of Chongqing City.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:?This paper was analyzed the present research situations,failure modes,treatments and evaluation methods of seismic stability of high slope.And the main characteristics of high slope in Southwest China.Then itwas summed up the current problems in the field.?This paper was summarized and analyzed the influence factors of the high slope stability which under the earthquake.This article was briefly summarized three dynamic stability evaluation methods which of high slope.Stereographic projection method,the pseudo-staticlimitequilibrium method and strength reduction FEM.?This paper was analyzed the position of potential sliding surface of Dahua Road natural high slope by mapping method and automatic search method,and confirmed a reasonable method to solve the position of the sliding surface.Stereographic projection method was used to analyze the deformation and failure modes of Dahua Road high slope.?Then based on the pseudo-static theory,the calculation formula of slope stability was derived,when the high slope was subjecting the earthquake loads and weight.And this formula is proved to be reasonable.And the stability factor of natural slope obtained by thestrength reduction FEMis consistent with theresult calculated by the formula.?The equivalent stiffness calculation method of anti-slide pile in plane strain theory was summarized.Then based on thestrength reduction FEM,MIDAS-GTS/NX software was used to simulated force situations of a particular section of Dahua Road high slope which was under 7 different kinds of pile spaces.Then carried out specific analysisunder two states that were static state and earthquake action.The following conclusions were drawn:1)By means of analysis,it is indicated that the natural slope is stable.The stability coefficient of slope after excavation is reduced.So it is recommended to support the slope before excavation.2)After support and excavation,the safety factor of the high slope under static and earthquake actions can meet the requirements of the specification.There was no transfixion of plastic zone and stressmutation phenomenon.Those were judged that the slope were stable in the two cases.3)Under the action of static and seismic loads,the bigger the pile spacing is,the more unstable the slope is,the more obvious the deformation of anti slide pile is.Therefore,it is favorable to increase the stability of the slope and the stability of the anti slide pile with the appropriate reduction of the pile spacing.But too small pile spacing will result in waste of resources.Then the reasonable pile spacing ofanti slide pilein Dahua Road high slope was been given.4)The research results of this paper have some reference value for the design and construction of the slope engineering which is similar to the Dahua Road high slope.
