With the continuous development of highway and bridge engineering, The thin-walled curved beam is widely used because of the characteristics of beautiful appearance, save space and so on. As a section of curved beam, The box section has good properties of bending and torsional properties, it also has lighter weight and more saving supplies, thus, the box section is widely used in bridge and highway construction. The analysis of thin walled curved box girder mostly began based on the theory of thin-walled element, however, the error will increase a certain extent if we do not consider the shear bending of thin-walled box girder deformation. Besides, in the analysis of closed section of the box girder, the mechanical properties of thin-walled box girder could not be objectively reflected with the ignorance of secondary shear deformation.Based on the the thin-walled curved beam theory, considering the influence of bending shear deformation and the secondary shear deformation, energy variational method is adopted to analysis the bending and torsion problems of thin-walled box girder, the Hamilton dual system of thin-walled box girder is established. In this system, the influence of the secondary shear stress distribution is taken into count, then the mechanical properties of thin-walled box girder could be analyzed more comprehensive. The hamilton canonical equation of the system is solved by using precise integration method, the establishment of the program is using by software. The internal force and displacement and stress of thin-walled curved beam can be solve. In the functional examples, the different cross sections and different loading patterns are used in these examples, the result of examples are compared with other methods in the literature. The accuracy and rationality of this method are proved. The research results of this paper provides a certain reference for the analysis of thin-walled curved beam.
