self-centering steel frame with infilled butterfly-shaped steel plate walls is an innovative structure system,It combines the advantage of self-centering steel frame and infilled Butterfly-shaped steel plate walls.On the basis of literature study,the relevant design formulas about the initial and ultimate bearing capacity of infilled butterfly-shaped steel plate walls and self-centering steel frame are summarized.Depending on the existing performance design objectives and constraints of the real test,the BASE specimens and the three series,nine specimens in total,are designed.All specimens were simulated and analyzed to obtain the hysteresis curve,skeleton curve,energy dissipation coefficient curve,stiffness degradation curve and the von Mises stress and deformation contours by the finite element software ANSYS.On the basis of the resulting pattern,the ductility,bearing capacity,energy dissipation capacity and the recencering ability of the structure can be obtained,the conclusions are as follows.1)infilled butterfly-shaped steel plate walls are added into self-centering steel frame to solve the defect of low energy consumption.2)The associated bearing capacity and stiffness formulas about Butterfly-shaped steel plate shear wall and self-centering steel frame are summarized and improved.The designed specimen was simulated,the results show that this type of structure take advantages of good energy consumption and self-centering to meet the design goals.3)Three groups of specimens in different thickNess?different depth-width ratio and different initial prestress,9 in total,are designed.Three groups of specimens are simulated by the finite element software ANSYS.The results show that hysteresis curves of the specimens showed typical "double banner shaped" of self-centering structure;all specimens' story displacement angle can reach 3%,it does' t show a significant decline in carrying capacity,it is a good signal of ductility;increasing plate thickNess or decreasing depth-width ratio will enhance the energy dissipation capacity and the bearing capacity of the entire structure,but the self-centering ability will be weakened;increasing initial prestress will enhance the self-centering ability and the bearing capacity of the entire structure,but the energy dissipation capacity will be weakened4)The performance of self-centering steel frame with infilled butterfly-shaped steel plate walls is determined by the plate thickNess,depth-width ratio,initial prestress,etc.These parameters will be taken into account in design.
