<Management Approach of sluice safety identification> specified that sluice safety identification should be carried out regularly. In this paper, offshore sluice work's current situation and problems were analyzed. Many sluice safety identification work in coastal areas of Zhejiang Province was summary. On the basis of this summary, sluice's laws of construction, operation and management were analyzed and concluded according to problems found in sluice safety identification work in coastal areas. A number of points need to pay attention to sluice safety identification for future work were raised up, which provides certain practical significance for sluice safety identification work and reinforcement project.In this paper, offshore sluice working condition and management mode were concluded. Two key issues, control of use and project management, were proposed. Rational management and operation were the keys to ensuring the safety of sluice. Some featured problems faced during offshore sluice operation such as soft soil foundation, marine environment and complex effects of natural disasters were pointed. A case study of Li Ming sluice was used to check the sluice capability of discharge and energy dissipation.Offshore sluice feature was soft soil foundation, which was the most important factor causing excessive settlement and differential settlement. In daily operation and management, insisting on lifecycle prototype observation was needed. Automatic safety monitoring system should be built time prevent differential settlement.Concrete effective strength and steel structures Effective carrying capacity were the main judgment basis for sluice safety identification. On the basis of actual detection data, this article summarized the destructive elements and rules of offshore concrete structures sluice. The main protection measure to reinforced concrete structures in coastal environment was pointed out to be concrete own protection: high performance concrete and appropriate reinforced protective layer thickness. Features of offshore sluice steel structures corrosion damage ware analyzed as well. Construction and management department need pay more attention to the protection of offshore sluice steel. Steel in different locations had different corrosion characteristics. The facts show that chloride penetration, pollution of the marine environment, was the most important and the most common disruptive factor causing steel corrosion. So, prevention of steel corrosion should be done as much as possible in order to delay steel corrosion's start time and corrosion process.
