The Regional Design For Architecture Renais Sance In Wolong

Along with the rapid economic developing, the world culture syncretism and the trend of the internationalization of every social aspect, the issues how to maintain the national characteristics, and also sustain the regional characteristics in architectural culture, have increasingly become concerns of people. After the “5.12”Wenchuan Earthquake, the natural and human ecologies in Wolong were both damaged badly. How to preserve and continue the regional characters to prevent manmade disaster during the reconstruction, is a question worthy to study.The reconstruction of Wolong Centre Primary School has been taken as a key case to be studied in this dissertation. Based on field investigations and literature researches on regional architecture and local human ecology in Wolong, it is indicated that it's pressing and necessary to design regionally. In this dissertation, the design principles and the implementation methods are systematically illustrated and highlighted, from the layout planning of the whole project, architecture design and adaptive technological measures. And also the solutions and the thoughts when facing regional architecture design in specific natural and human ecology have been summarized. By discussing how to express the architectural regionalism in this globalization era, the social meanings of regional architecture renaissance in Wolong is pointed out; and by predicting the developing trend of regional architecture, the deep-seated meanings of regional expression is exploited, and also the insufficiency in regional expressing process is reflected.In the design, the local regional characters has been explored and extracted, and new technology, new building materials are applied with the traditional ones, so as to provide theoretical and technical supports for cognizing the regional environments of minority. By combining the regional architecture design with national consciousness reinforcement, a truly regional expression way for Wolong new architecture is finally explored.
