Owing to Chlorine dioxide unique nature, it widely used in our small waterworks, but there are some problems during the years application: The ratio of by-product source is fuzzy;The raw materials as chlorate and hydrochloric acid generator. Duing to the different reactor materials, structure and heating, there are large differences in the performance of generators,small water plant disable evaluate different of generator currently;At the same time, due to differences in mixing of chlorine dioxide and high-purity chlorine dioxide solution, when dealing with different substances in the water, the amount of consumption and its inorganic by-products fuzzy, it is no exist reasonably method to select the two types of generators based on water quality.In this paper study on the high-purity chlorine dioxide generator and the complex chlorine dioxide generator, analyzed of complex three generations and the high-purity equipment used in water treatment the source of inorganic by-products, the results showed that: the chlorate is high risk on the complex generator, Chlorate main sources:(1)Introduced by the generator;(2) The disproportionation decomposition of itself;(3) The oxidation-reduction reaction.and chlorite excessive risk higher than chlorite in the high-purity generator. Chlorite main sources:(1) The oxidation-reduction reaction;(2) Decomposition disproportionation of itself; chlorite mainly sources:Studied on three generations generator on products for water treatment, the proportion of chlorate from the generator into the results show that: the first generation(53.52%)> The second generation(49.28%)>third generation(43.39%). Studied on the chlorine dioxide decay:The factor about chlorine dioxide decay is little difference between the mixed solution of chlorine dioxide and the high-pure solution: light intensity>pH>initial concentration >ClO2/Cl2.Studied on generator reactor material, structure, heating and open the properties of raffinate splitter. The reactor with titanium, the reaction order for the three, dry heat, theaverage of the conversion rate of raw material is 76.06%, the chlorine dioxide yield is 66.2%and ClO2/Cl2 is 0.93; But the reactor using UPVC material, single-stage with water bath, the average of the conversion rate of raw material is 66.43%, the chlorine dioxide yield is 52.6%and ClO2/Cl2 is 0.82. After opening the separator raffinate. Because part of chlorine dioxide run away, the generator performance drop after opening raffinate splitter. Based on the identification of important performance generator, and comprehensive consideration of "technology", "security", "economy", "health", "operational" five indicators, a set of evaluation method of compound chlorine dioxide generator is put forward,it is found that the evaluation method has a guiding role in the generator identification through case study.Studied on consumption of chlorine dioxide and the production of the by-product with compound chlorine dioxide and high purity chlorine dioxide acted on different water distribution environment, the result show that :(1) When the reaction with iron, the compound generator can be selected from the economic consideration.(2) When reacting with organism,if the precursors of " carcinogenesis?teratoeenesis?mutagenesis" of water are low content, the high purity generator can be chosen; when chlorine dioxide consumption is below1.0mg/L, the composite generator can be selected. When the consumption is higher than1.0mg/L.When the precursors of " carcinogenesis, teratoeenesis, mutagenesis" of water are high content,high purity generator should be selected.(3) When the reaction with manganese reaction, the compound generator is suitable for a wide range.If the compound chlorine dioxide generator is used to remove organism, it should ensure the consists of chlorine dioxide.
