In recent years,solar energy gets people's widespread attention as one of the new energy which has good application prospect.It is necessary to add a suitable energy storage device to the independent photovoltaic power system to make the use of solar energy reasonably.As an energy storage device,super capacitor has mang advantages such as long service life,high power density and environmentally friendly.So it has become a popular energy storage device.In this paper,an independent photovoltaic power system based on PSO algorithm has been put forward.The maximum power point tracking of solar battery and the stability of the load current control have been researched in great detail.First of all,the mathematical model of solar battery was established based on its operating principle and the model was connected to the Boost circuit.A correct PWM wave produced by control system used to break the switch tube for maximum power point tracking(MPPT)control of solar battery.Under partially shaded conditions,the P-U curve of PV arrays will have the characteristic of multi-summit,which makes the conventional MPPT algorithm cannot achieve a satisfactory effect.So PSO algorithm was applied to the MPPT control in this paper.Secondly,the supercapacitor's model was established according to its energy storage principle.The supercapacitor was connected to the DC bus in parallel and it can make battery compensation for the system.Finally,the driver circuit of the load(LED)was designed and it can be used to control the load current.The Buck circuit was used as the load driver circuit and current mode PWM feedback control was adopted in the method.A simulation model of the whole system was built in Matlab/Simulink and some experiments were conducted.
