Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular Structure(CSFT) can make full use of the two kinds of materials, steel and concrete, and has many advantages such as a lighter weight, high strength, convenient construction and good seismic performance.Therefore, CFST is widely used in high-rise buildings. Frame joint technology is very complex and important in design and construction, so more and more attention has been paid to the design of cast steel joint. Many domestic and foreign scholars and institutes have done a lot of researches on mechanical behavior of joints.H-shaped beam to circular concrete-filled tube column joint with cast steel stiffener is a novel rigid beam-column joint for frame structure. The joint has clear loading transmission, reliable performance, simple structure and convenient construction. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are conducted for the research on mechanical behavior of H-shaped steel beam to circular concrete-filled tube column joint with cast steel stiffener.1) Based on the component method, we proposed the calculation method of initial rotational stiffness of H-shaped steel beam to circular concrete-filled tube column joint with cast steel stiffener. The component method regards each part of the joint as a series or parallel system of springs, and calculates the initial rotational stiffness of the joint based on the relationship of loading transmission of the each component and the stiffness of each component.2) Based on the calculation model of yielding shear force of joint, the calculation formula of shear bearing capacity of joint has been proposed. On this basis,this paper analyzes several failure modes of the joint, and the formula of bending bearing capacity is proposed.3) With the finite element analysis software ABAQUS, the static performance of the joint is simulated, which verifies the bearing capacity formula mentioned before.This paper has also carried on the analysis on the relevant parameters of the static behavior of the joint.4) With the finite element analysis software ABAQUS, the seismic performance of the joint is simulated.The paper has also carried on the analysis on the related parameters of the seismic behavior of the joint.The analysis results showed that H-shaped steel beam to circular concrete-filled tube column joint with cast steel stiffener has good static performance and seismic performance.It develops the advantage and avoids the disadvantages of all other forms of joints, and is worthy of extensive promotion and application.
