In order to alleviate tense situation of supply and demand of coal, rationally using, economizing on and increasing the utilization rate of coal show more importance. Therefore, it is a necessary trend to develop the high efficiency and high parameter Ultra supercritical units. The components in Ultra supercritical units serve under high temperature. Defects may exist in the components stemming from the process of manufacturing or welding and grow during the operation effected by temperature and pressure. The hidden hazard exists in service processes of the component which contain defects. The safety of Ultra supercritical units has been seriously concerned bringing forward high request. The implementation of life assessment expert system for high temperature parts is of great significance to assess the structures with defects fast, efficiently and exactly. It helps staff to foresee the safety problems so as to prevent the accidents by taking effective measures.This paper is on the foundation of studying the assessment procedure for the high temperature response of structure carefully. Considering the operation state of the main steam line and the header, the procedures for assessing defects under creep and creep-fatigue loading were applied in the main steam line and the header respectively. The life assessment expert system for high temperature parts is implemented by designing B/S structure based on ASP.NET and divided into several modules. This system can realize the flaw-recombination, creep rupture evaluation and creep-fatigue evaluation. In the creep rupture evaluation and creep-fatigue evaluation modules, the parameter can be added, modified and deleted, and the report can be printed. Based on the material performance of component, combining with the operating parameter and estimating the running state, life assessment expert system for high temperature parts was implemented. For power plant staff to overhaul and maintain provide the technical support.
