Advantages of the Orthotropic Steel Bridge Deck is light weight,great ultimate bearing capacity,wide range of applications and short construction period so on.And give full play the characteristics of the steel.On its research has gradually matured on abroad.And develop the appropriate specifications.In our country,because of the late start and complex geographical situation,there is no perfect theory particularly especially in the fatigue performance of the structure of the research.As a background,this paper discusses the following mainly aspects:First,A brief introduction to the structural system of the Orthotropic Steel Bridge Deck,as well as its development history research status at home and abroad,especially the present situation of research on fatigue properties.The development of fatigue damage is divided into three stages,and it's difference between the destruction of ordinary intensity.Literature references related research at home and abroad,introduces the three methods of fatigue research.Then,because of China's vast territory,fatigue vehicle for urban highway bridge load spectrum,it is difficult to develop a common specification.Only in the design,according to the actual traffic conditions combined with foreign specifications,draw the appropriate standard fatigue vehicle load spectrum reference model.Again,this paper focuses on conducting lifetime performance assessment and management of steel bridges under fatigue by integrating three prediction models: fatigue reliability model(FRM),crack growth model(CGM),and probability of detection(PoD)model.Estimate the time-dependent fatigue performance using FRM,provide the time-dependent crack growth using CGM,and quantify the detection capability associated with fatigue cracks using PoD model.Finally,as an example with a bridge,the fatigue life evaluation and management of the orthotropic steel bridge deck are carried out by the combination of the three new methods with the maintenance method...
