Recent years, a lot of economic loss and injuries have been caused, especially in under-developed mountain area and villages,because of the frequent earthquakes. As a new design of isolation, the sliding isolation technology is reliable, safe, economic and simple. The sand and the rubber compound are used in the cushion of the structure. So it is very applicable for villages because of its convenience, low cost and good effect of isolation structure, systemic researches of the sand and the rubber compound isolation cushion are made.The system of isolation consist of a certain proportion of sand and rubber particles with certain width and thickness. The sand and the rubber compound cushion are placed between the bottom of the foundation and the surface of the foundation. The energy of the earthquake is absorbed by the slipping and friction of the particles of the mixed material and the deformation of the rubber. That can decrease the damage of the structure and ensure the safety of the upper structure, so as to achieve the effect of isolation.With the deepening of the research of shock-isolation technology, the base isolation structure research scope from low-rise buildings and high-rise buildings more expand. High-rise building is often larger aspect ratio. But the current specification for the upper limit value of height to width ratio of the seismic-isolation structure rules, which to a certain extent, it restricts the development of shock-isolation technology. In order to explore the aspect ratio factor for the effect of vibration isolation structure, this article focus on the perspective of the theory analysis and experiment, an exploratory research, the main research content for the following two aspects:1. Use SAP2000 finite element analysis software to establish a set of different height to width ratio of the friction-sliding isolation structure, input El-Centro wave respectively (N-S direction of seismic records) and qianan wave, focus on internal force and displacement between layers (including displacement) two aspects of the dynamic response was observed. On the basis of experimental research and practical application of vibration isolation system of the theoretical basis and reference.2. With sand mixed with rubber material as the isolation cushion layer, designed the four groups of aspect ratio were 1.0,2.0,3.0,4.0 frame structure model. Input seismic waves of three groups of different peak, through the shaking table test with different aspect ratio the acceleration response of base-isolated structure, and analyzes the sand mixed with rubber cushion damping characteristics of energy consumption.
