The wave breaks in shallow water areas of coast.the area of coast impacted by wave called surf zone.Breaking wave makes sediment suspended on the sandy coast. So broken wave has very important influence of suspended sediment's concentration. After wave breaking, water disturbance is strong and produce a large number of vortex, impacting to the bottom of the water. And then the sediment of near bed was hung up highly, even existing in the entire section of water. There will form a special terrain under the function of Waves occurs broken wave by storm wave and the undertow, divided into four areas, named:the sandbar area, groove area, excessive belt, climbing area. Different wave form after the waves breaking will make different impact of the terrain, water flow and suspended sediment concentration. This paper has carried the experiment on the basis of the above, and using regular wave and irregular wave effecting on sandy coast (1:10) under storm wave conditions:(1) Measuring wave height, flow velocity, sediment concentration and coast profile at the same time of different depth on each section the broken zone.researching velocity, turbulent kinetic energy and vertical distribution of sediment concentration and suspended sediment transport rate in the bar area, the wave of broken zone and central hills area;.(2) To study the coastal profile within the broken zone under the effect of the irregular wave and regular wave;(3) To study the wave velocity and turbulent kinetic energy factor impact on sediment concentration in different area within the broken zone under the action of regular waves;(4) To study the wave velocity and turbulent kinetic energy factor impact on sediment concentration in different area within the broken zone under the action of regular waves.
