With the development of economy, the number of motor vehicles and the complexity of roads keep increasing, followed by a large amount of traffic data which comes from different data sources and different data platforms. Faced with this situation, the traditional transportation systems are unable to meet these challenges. With regard to the sensitive information in transportation system, including signal control information and electronic display control information, which has a significant impact on traffic safety, the data security should be guaranteed.Considering the complex business logic, multiple data sources and multiple platform of the current transportation systems, this thesis implements the Intelligent Transportation System with the usage of web technology and database technology. According to the application scene, the system which is applied to the modular thought, docks the multiple data sources,stores the multiple data with the unified form, and provides the operation interface for the application layer. For the ubiquitous cross-platform business, platform integration layer docks the multiple platform, adapts the calling process for application layer, and achieves a unified cross-platform business operation.The sensitive data, such as signal lamp control information and electronic display control information, is analyzed in this thesis. Taking the data structure and the requirements for processing efficiency into consideration, this thesis proposes and implements a broadcast authentication scheme based on Intelligent Transportation Systems. This scheme combines the RSA digital signature algorithm and the Rapid Authentication broadcast authentication scheme. With the tradeoff between data security and processing efficiency, this scheme guarantees the integrity and identification of sensitive information transmission. The security and performance analysis show that the scheme can resist tampering, replay and forgery attacks.
