Facing the increasingly serious resource and environment problems, China's auto industry accelerated the development and promotion of new energy vehicles. As one of the important dynamic forms of new energy vehicles-compressed air engine, its zero pollution and low cost advantage is not other forms of power. Though the electric cars occupy the main market of the new energy vehicles now. but with the deepening of the compressed air engine research and technology mature, aerodynamic cars will have their own place in the field of new energy vehicles.Because air vehicle has a infinite prospect future, according to the target vehicle parameters, this paper designed a payment power is 7.1 kw. rated speed of 1000 r/min 9 cylinders radial piston compressed air engine, and according to the theory to calculate the key parameters needed for the design, such as cylinder diameter D, piston stroke S. the crank eccentricity e. finally gives the theoretical and practical of optimal distribution phase, as well as a new type of high-pressure air and gas distribution phase matching-axial distribution cone valve structure. In high pressure tank volume is 600L.30 MPa pressure conditions, the target car can travel 9.1 km at the speed of 10 km/h on 30 °slopes, and can travel 129 km at a speed of 60 km/h on the flat road.For 9 cylinders radial piston compressed air engine other important components, such as lubricating system, crank connecting rod mechanism, etc, design the structure according to the corresponding needs, then display the 3D model chart. After these parts processing, the real 9 cylinder radial piston compressed air engine completed.For 9 cylinders radial piston compressed air engine system, carry on the theory of energy loss analysis and calculation, show the pressure air energy loss rate of each link under the condition of full load, and analyze the reason of the energy loss of each link.. At last, point out the direction of high pressure air energy utilization.Finally, based on 9 cyhnders radial piston compressed air engine efficiency, and considering the actual situation and cost, the paper gives the improvement strategy of high pressure inlet and multi-stage expansion.
