When operating in orbit around Earth, due to the presence of the Earth's shadow zone, satellite antenna will inevitably go through a drastic change in the transient temperature field because of the heat flux's revulsion due to entering and leaving Earth's shadow zone, which causes thermally induced vibration. And this will affect the stability of the antenna's performance.Based on relevant thermal - structural response theory, this paper conducts the research of satellite antenna from thermostatics and non-coupling dynamical theory these two aspects.According to the thermal-structural coupling theory, this article adopts the sequential coupling way, which requires model matching. This can be achieved by I-DEAS's script.First,we can use I-DEAS to conduct thermal analysis for satellite antenna in orbit and get the temperature field;then, complete structural analysis by loading the temperature data into ANSYS.Based on the theory of thermostatics, this paper analyses the distribution of temperature field and deformation field of satellite antenna in different calculation positions in an orbit cycle, and the RMS value which mainly affects the antenna's performance can be obtained.By adopting the non-coupling dynamical theory, the thermally induced vibration of satellite antenna which caused by entering Earth's shadow zone can be analysed.By plotting the vibration graph of satellite antenna, we can obtain its vibration law.Based on the current status which mainly adopts passive control to suppress thermally induced vibration of space structure, this paper proposes a new solution idea using active control and introduces its theory, then uses the program coded according to this theory to effectively suppress the thermally induced vibration of satellite antenna.By giving the results of adopting active control, the feasibility and effectiveness of this approach can be verified.
