The optical rotation instrument is a kind of analytical instrum ent for m easuring the angle of rotation,there are thre e polarimeter currently frequently used m anual polarimeter,and digital display autom atic polarimeter polarimeter polarimeter most are based on a conventional optical system measured by those the disadv antage of the conventional polarimeter is lar ge volume and low accura cy.In ord er to im prove the m easurement accuracy and to im prove the integration of the instrum ent,we put for ward the method technique of the AC / D C modulation of magnetic optical fiber in this paper the m ethod of spectrum analysis is used to deal with the signal.The common problem consisting of of the traditional optical rotation,the research significance of this topic at last.In recent years,as the rapid developm ent of laser and optoelectronic technology,magneto optical materials are used widely in the scientific and indus try.In photoelectric materials in the field of high technology is the core of the magneto-optical materials.In this research,the optical fiber doped with Tb,which is a magneto optical material is used.We designed the subject “Research on AC / DC modulation pola rimeter based on the terbium doped optical fiber”.This subject adopts fibe r modulation magnetic rotation to realize the measurement of the angle of rotation,and then replace th e heavy and lar ge traditional polarimeter.In this paper,the design of AC and DC modulation type optical rotation system is the two phase measurement of optical fiber communication and DC modulation.The first stage is the rough side process,which is m easured by DC modulation method.The second stage of the process,m ainly in the first phase of the prem ise to take the m ethod of m agnetic optical rotation.And th e the data process ing: The superp osition of the two ang les is determined using fast Fourier transform to process the signals from the optoelectric detector,and then the exact angle data is calculated.The improved algorithm neglects the influence of the change of the magnetic rotation angle,and realizes the accu rate measurement of small angle rotation angle.Through the calib ration of two angle data,and determ ine the superposition of two angles,to obtain accurate measurement value of the angle of rotation.In this paper,the design of the optical rotation system basically reached the pre expected measurement accuracy.Finally,the system has low power consumption,light weight,easy to carry,easy to operate and high precision ch aracteristics,which can b e used in v arious fields of measurement.
