| The earth synchronous satellite and the sun synchronous satellite has been widely used in life and military strategy due to its special features, have great application potential. In order to realize satellite tracking study, the apparent magnitude the target satellite and related optical properties is need. So the research and measure of the magnitude of the satellite is very hot in recent years.The magnitude luminosity features of the object satellite is the basis for the satellite tracking and pointing.The objectives of this study are to research and calculate the magnitude of the satellite. The main contents can be summarized as follows:The research background, status at domestic and aboard and the development of the subject is summarized in the Chapter I. Presents the application and introduces the development trend of the magnitude luminosity features research.In the Chapter 2, the basic theory of satellite orbit is analysis. The calculation model of the magnitude is established, the calculation formula of the magnitude is derivate based on the effective reflection area. Introduce the definition of orbit, classification of orbit, six orbits elements, TEL after the magnitude analysis. And mainly discuss the orbit characteristic of the earth synchronous satellite and the sun synchronous satellite. Then, the visibility for the satellite is analyzed from the earth’s shadow, the skylight background and the parameters of the telescope. The satellite is invisible when it’s in the earth’s shadow, and the strong background also make the observer can’t distinguish the target satellite. If we want to observe in the strong background, the performance parameters of the telescope also directly affect the limit magnitude which we can observe.In the Chapter 3, we simulated the magnitude changing of the earth synchronous orbit at from 22:00 to 2:00 on the equinoxes and solstices days. We can conclude the satellite is brightest at 22:00 when the apparent magnitude is about 11.7.In addition, we simulated the magnitude of the sun synchronous satellite in morning and night, at brightest moment the magnitude is about 5.7, compared with a satellite whose reflectivity is a little lower and size is a little smaller than the sun synchronous orbit satellite, and the brightest magnitude of consult satellite is about 6.5. The result of simulation is reasonable.In the Chapter 4, the experimental setup is presented in this paper. Presented their components and functional. The equipment platforms, choice of CCD and the parameters of telescope were analysis in detail. To achieve the observation of earth synchronous orbit satellite through the experimental facilities, verification the magnitude simulation result of the earth synchronous orbit satellite in the Chapter 3, the experiment showed that the result of the simulation calculation is in reasonable within the error range. |
