For large steel construction,due to the steel has good ductility,the deformation is relatively complex when the steel construction is in force,single-point monitoring can't reflect the deformation well,3D laser scanning technology brings a new solution.It's very significance to use 3D laser scanning technology which it is non-contact,high-speed and surface scanning.This paper used 3D laser scanning technology in the deformation monitoring of steel workshop,the main research content of the dissertation includes:(1)FARO Focus 3D X330 laser scanner is as a experimental platform,the paper analyzed the various factors affecting the measurement of 3D laser scanner,designed experiments to evaluate the impact on the accuracy of 3D laser scanner from the scanning distance and the scanning resolution.(2)Since the scanning scope limitation of 3D laser scanner and area of large steel construction is large,it need multi-station scanning when using 3D laser scanner to scan the building,this process will inevitably involve multi-site cloud registration,and multi-site cloud registration will bring to error propogation,cause the error accumulation.The paper accorded to the principle of point cloud registration,gived the appropriate calculation steps to error propagation of the point cloud registration,and derived error propagation model of the point cloud registration,so we can reduce the error of point cloud registration through designing reasonable scanning path.(3)The paper designed a program with using the 3D laser scanner for deformation monitoring of steel workshop,and given acquisition procedure to point cloud data;The point cloud denoising,local coordinate conversion and point cloud registration are realized through the programming and FARO SCENE.Based on the point cloud slicing,the paper proposed a method which using the node coordinate offset of central axis to extract deformation information of steel construction,and reflected the deformation of steel workshop by the tilt rate and offset direction;In addition,based on NURBS surface modeling,the support columns of steel workshop were analysed by Geomagic about reversing engineering software,it showed deformation information of different regions which using different color values,and obtained overall deformation information of steel workshop support columns.
