The earthquake is a very serious natural disaster, having the big threat to human production and life. The study of earthquake is related to the life and property safety of the masses of people. In China, about 80% of the land area is located in the earthquake zone, the three largest in the world with two earthquake zone across China, which is one of the world's most serious earthquake disasters, the earthquake caused a huge loss. So in our country, more and more isolation structure is applied to all kinds of buildings.According to many years of strong earthquake records, the vertical seismic component of near fault zone is very significant. Depending on China's current standard, the low-and mid-low intensity regions need not considers the influence of the vertical earthquake action, only in the high intensity region and the tall and large-span structures need to be considered. In China, the theory and application of horizontal isolation are more mature, but the development of three-dimensional seismic isolation is still not mature. Integrated above, so the use of the base isolation structure is only the level of isolation, in the use of horizontal seismic isolation structure in the horizontal and vertical earthquake seismic performance is an urgent need to solve the problem.This paper takes the RC structure as the research object, and adopts the reinforced asphalt base isolation pier as the base isolation structure. Two typical RC frame structures are designed, which are different from the base of the isolation structure. The two-dimensional plane frame model is established by using finite element analysis software ABAQUS, the input of horizontal and vertical seismic wave dynamic elastic-plastic time history analysis, comparing the two structures in displacement response rules, the variation regularity of the internal forces and load change ability is different, the study on the seismic performance of RC frame of base isolated structure under horizontal and vertical seismic effect.The results show that the displacements of the structure under the earthquake response, the level of isolation structure can effectively reduce the displacement of the structure under the earthquake. This is not only reflected in the horizontal displacement decreases, but also decreases in the vertical earthquake. On the influence of frame columns under earthquake, the column can improve the bearing capacity.while for the side column, it may cause the failure of the side column.
