Modern power system is characterized by large capacity, long distance transmission and across regions connected to the Internet. Along with the rapid development of modern economy, the rapid development of social economy have contributed to the case of significant change. Industrial electricity consumption growing rapidly, the installed capacity has increased continuously, control of its trend of power system real-time, accuracy, flexibility and other requirement also gradually improve. Flexible ac transmission system(FACTS) is in recent years, a new technology of ac power system FACTS implementation of various compensation technology for power system control has greatly improved, and the trend of the modern power system plays an extremely important effect and broad prospects.Unified trend controller(Unified power flow controller, hereinafter referred to as UPFC) have the function of the series and parallel compensation and phase shifting,and so far the most complex and typical FACTS controller. Have very strong flexibility. This paper contains a unified trend of controller of power system flow calculation problems are reviewed and summarized, first analyzed the basic structure and working principle of unified flow controller, and the equivalent circuit model of UPFC is studied, in recent years, the power system, the power flow calculation of the controller is contained in the study of the problems of the more popular, this paper contains a unified trend of controller of power system flow calculation problems are reviewed and summarized, and concluded that the steady state mathematical model in grid analysis.
