Intelligent substation is an important part of the smart grid, which brings together power flow, business flow and information flow of the smart grid. Intelligent substation network traffic reliability, timeliness, etc., can reflect the performance of the network. Network implicit a lot of abnormal risk like congestion, loss of data, broadcast storm network, which will affect the real-time performance and reliability of the substation network traffic, further affect the reliable operation of the secondary system. Therefore, the study of intelligent substation reliability of network traffic has a very important practical significance.The digital and intelligent level of substation is improved, which makes the integration of the system become more obvious. The reliability of substation is one of the bottlenecks of the stable operation of power system. Based on cyber-physical computing theory, the reliability measure of the information flow in the process layer of the intelligent substation is studied. This Thesis is divided into three parts:First, smart substation network traffic is analyzed. From the perspective of information theory, the transmission performance of the intelligent substation network is studied.Then the network information flow dynamics model is improved. the dynamic model of the information flow in the intelligent substation is established based on the principle of the controllability and observation ability of information. Respectively, Single link, local area network, a single node respectively as the research object, describing propagation of information flow, which is conducive to take more effective measures to solve network congestion. Physical model of intelligent substation network two-way information flow is established, which provides the study of intelligent substation network traffic a new idea.Finally, based on theperformance of network reliability evaluation model, smart substation reliability evaluation method is given, which based on intelligent substation network traffic transmission delay, packet loss rate and the quality of service required for each information flow. Intelligent substation communication network is modeled using OPNET simulation software. From a single link and LAN two aspects,the model is evaluated at four operation modes,which are steady state, network traffic anomalies, extreme flow and a specific scene, and features of each operating mode are analyzed. The simulation results show that this method can be carried out to assess the reliability of intelligent substation network traffic to a certain degree.
