As an important form of centrifugal pump,the double suction pump with the characteristics of high lift and flow and so on,so it was widely used in engineering.At the same time,the double suction pump energy consumption is large,therefore the user of the unit are very high requirements on its efficiency and service life.Therefore,the study about double suction pump internal flow mechanism and the impact on the double suction's hydraulic performance with an inducer,for the hydraulic performance's optimization design of double suction centrifugal pump and provide a reference for the actual production design.In this paper,taking the double suction pump with an inducer as the research object,apply the numerical simulation software CFX to analysis the inner flow field.Firstly,take a single-phase flow simulation analysis for the double suction pump with or without inducer,by analyzing the inner flow in four different conditions,revealing the internal flow mechanism and the effect of inducer on the hydraulic performance of the double suction pump.There is a reflux generation in the inlet of the inducer,this is because the pressure in the hub is lower than the rim,this pressure difference which led to the generation of the reflux eddy.Reflux area increases with the flow decreases.From the hub to the rim,the pressure and speed distribution is increasing along the radial,the minimum pressure point located in the outer edge of the suction face import position.Through the pressure distribution in four conditions of the suction pump,the low pressure area in the double suction pump witn an inducer are less than the pump without an inducer.In the same time,the numerical simulation show that the low pressure in the double suction are higher than the blade without an inducer,the low pressure area in the impeller with an inducer has been significantly improved.Secondly,take a gas-liquid two-phase flow simulate analysis on the double suction pump with or without an inducer,revealing the internal cavitation development process in the different NPSH,and the case of cavitation in different flow conditions.By the comparison on the numerical simulation analysis,the cavitation performance on the impeller with an inducer was superior the double suction pump without an inducer.In the low flow conditions,the cavition resistance on the double suction pump are superior the design flow and high flow.Finally,according to the numerical simulation results,the performance curve and the external characteristic curve of the double suction pump with or without inducer are drawn.revealing the flow field of cavitation development process and double suction centrifugal pump energy variation further on the double suction pump with or without inducer.Through the comparative analysis show that the anti cavitation performance,cavitation performance of a double suction centrifugal pump with inducer is better.In the case of small flow rate conditions,the head and the efficiency double suction pump with the inducer is higher than that without the inducer.
