More and more company begin to product innovation to meet customer demands in the customer orientation market environment. Product innovation based on knowledge innovation, much of messy and unorganized knowledge was produced in the whole life-cycle of complex product that play an important role in late product design. This thesis build management framework of whole life-cycle complex product after survey the different type company A and B, then concluded the enterprise knowledge management requirements and characteristics of complex product knowledge, which support knowledge organization and application of whole life-cycle. Research on domain ontology modeling methods, build domain ontology with "four steps", take paver for instance, formalized and structured the process knowledge, physical structure knowledge and expert knowledge, which support a well theoretical basis for develop knowledge management tool. Research on database organization and key technologies retrieve algorithm of knowledge management tool based on ontology modeling, build knowledge link chain with database organization, solved key technical difficulties by the method of parameter passing and completely fuzzy retrieval. Build knowledge management tool development system structure and developed whole life-cycle knowledge management tool of complex product, which support general and engineer machinery knowledge management, organized and reused process knowledge, result knowledge, tacit knowledge of whole life-cycle, be benefit to product innovation.
