In this paper, we study the fatigue damage of large container vessels caused by springing. The target ship is 20000 teu super large container ship designedFirst of all, this paper introduces the principle about springing and flutter of vessels and why the super large container ship can not be ignored in the design process.while the research status about the springing and flutter of ships are introduced too. The shortcomings and limitations when calculating enginneering application and the specification for very large container vessels are analysising.Secondly, this paper introduces several common ship natural frequency calculation method including the finite element method.in accordance with the relevant empirical hypothesis calculated the container vessel's natural frequency at full load condition, and the action of harmonic response analysis under wave loading moment. Then, copared the main range of wave frequecy,we analyzed and discussed. Then,we calulcate the target ship encountered in different frequency wave bending moment, and load to the finite element.Analysising and calculating the hull should be force response results in different frequencies, especially first-order second node frequecy and wave frequecy are the same, the vertical vibration of the ship. Finally, this paper use the commonly used sprctral analysis method in naval architecture and ocean engineering to analysis the fatigue of this very large container vessel.Based on the calculated results, the influence of wave induced vibration on the fatigue strength of ship hull structure is discussed...
